Residents of a West Highland neighborhood are campaigning to mark a 100 year old home with historical designation – despite the homeowner’s wishes to sell the property to developers.
Partner David Foster is the attorney for the homeowner, and recently appeared on ABC 7 to discuss the case. Foster is calling the situation a “hostile historic designation.”
“Frankly, [it] just doesn’t seem right to me,” said Foster. “When you are wanting something done on someone else’s property, what’s the bar that we establish?”
This case highlights the importance of knowing your rights as a property owner, something Attorney Foster hopes to establish in favor of his client.
