#2: Failing to Document Any Witnesses

The second biggest mistake someone makes following a car accident is failing to document any individuals who witnessed the accident.

Receiving emergency medical care takes precedence over speaking with witnesses. However, the police officers who arrive at the scene of the accident should not only obtain your statement, they should also provide a list of witnesses.
